Blogging in the Classroom

I am new to blogging as well as other resources that we've been introduced to in this class, but I feel that having a blog for your classroom could be a very helpful tool for the teacher, students, and parents. It's a great way for parents to see what their children are learning about in class, rather than just hearing about it. I also think it could be used great, supplemental communication tool to keep parents updated on events, reminders, tests, homework, etc. This is definitely something I am going to look into starting up next school year.
